Privacy Policy

TAPE ("TAPE", "we", "us") operates the influencer-marketing platform at createwithtape.com. This Privacy Policy explains what information we collect, how we use it, and the choices you have. It applies to the agencies, brands, and creators who use TAPE.

Information we collect

  • Account information. When you sign in with Google, we receive your name, email address, and profile image.
  • Content you provide. Campaign briefs, brand assets (logo, colours, fonts), videos and images you upload, post links you add to a campaign, and related notes.
  • Connected accounts. When you connect a YouTube channel or an Instagram account, we receive the data described in the sections below.
  • Usage & technical data. Basic logs, and cookies strictly necessary to keep you signed in and remember the brand you are working in.

YouTube API Services

TAPE uses YouTube API Services. When you connect a brand's YouTube channel, you grant TAPE permission — through Google's OAuth consent screen — to:

  • read your channel's identity (channel ID and title) to confirm which channel is connected; and
  • upload videos to that channel on your behalf, only when you initiate an upload in TAPE.

To perform uploads you start, we store an encrypted OAuth refresh token for the connected channel. We do not access your private watch history, and we do not use YouTube data for advertising or sell it to anyone.

Our use of information received from YouTube API Services adheres to the YouTube Terms of Service and the Google Privacy Policy.

Revoking access. You can disconnect a channel inside TAPE at any time, which deletes the stored token. You can also revoke TAPE's access directly from your Google Account's security settings (myaccount.google.com/permissions).

Instagram / Meta data

For performance tracking, TAPE reads publicly available metrics (such as views, likes, and comments) for the posts you choose to track. If a creator connects their Instagram account, we receive the insights that Meta shares for that account so we can report campaign performance. This data is used only to display analytics inside TAPE and is handled in accordance with Meta's platform terms.

How we use information

  • To provide the platform — running campaigns, producing and reviewing videos, and re-uploading content to your connected channels at your request.
  • To display analytics and campaign performance.
  • To operate, secure, debug, and improve the service.
  • To communicate with you about your account.

How we share information

We do not sell your personal information. We share it only with service providers that help us run TAPE, and only as needed:

  • Google / YouTube and Meta / Instagram — to authenticate you and to read or publish the data described above.
  • Hosting & storage providers that run our servers and store uploaded media.
  • AI providers (e.g. Anthropic, Google) that process content you submit to generate hooks, transcripts, or quality-control reports.
  • Where required by law, or to protect the rights and safety of TAPE and its users.

Data retention

We keep your information for as long as your account is active or as needed to provide the service. When you disconnect a channel we delete its stored token; when you delete content or your account, we delete the associated data within a reasonable period, except where we must retain it to comply with legal obligations.

Security

Data is encrypted in transit (HTTPS). Sensitive credentials, including connected-channel refresh tokens, are encrypted at rest using AES-256-GCM. No system is perfectly secure, but we take reasonable measures to protect your information.

Your rights & choices

  • Access, correct, or delete your information.
  • Disconnect any connected YouTube or Instagram account at any time.
  • Revoke TAPE's access through your Google or Meta account settings.

Deleting your data

To delete your account and associated data, disconnect your connected accounts in TAPE and contact us at the address below; we will action the request and confirm once complete.

Children

TAPE is a business tool intended for users aged 18 and over. It is not directed to children.

International transfers

Your information may be processed in countries other than your own, including where our service providers operate. We take steps to ensure it remains protected in line with this policy.

Changes to this policy

We may update this policy from time to time. Material changes will be reflected by updating the "Last updated" date above.
